There
are an infinite number of ways to attach,
sew, bend, twist or compress the fabric
to shibori, and each way results in very
different patterns. Each method is used
to achieve a certain result and also to
work in harmony with the type of fabric
used. Therefore, the technique used in shibori
depends not only on the desired pattern,
but on the characteristics of the tissue
to be dyed. In addition, different techniques
can be used together to get even more elaborate
results.
